Prism Investigate
Paper records you can search.
We scan paper documents to evidential standards, make them searchable with text recognition and load them straight into the review platform — with an unbroken Chain of Custody for the originals.
Paper is still evidence
Contracts with handwritten additions, minutes, accounting records, archive holdings: in many cases part of the relevant material exists only on paper. Without digitisation those documents stay out of search and structured review — and so out of the overall picture.
What we do
Scanning: digitisation of paper documents at a quality suited to review, analysis and production.
Text recognition (OCR): searchable PDFs, so scanned pages are found with the same search terms as electronic documents.
Review-ready handover: indexing and loading into the review platform, so paper and electronic holdings are reviewed in the same workflow.
The originals stay traceable
From handover to return, it is documented who held which documents and when. Every scanned page remains linked to its original, so that a copy cannot be challenged later because its route cannot be shown.
Part of the investigation, not a step before it
For us, scanning is not an outsourced preliminary. The documents go into the same mandate, the same platform and the same Chain of Custody as the electronic data. You have one point of contact for the entire holding.
How much paper is in your case?
Tell us the approximate volume and type of documents. We will tell you how we would proceed and how long it takes.
